I had the great pleasure of photographing Rosanne and Andrew’s wedding on Sunday, May 31st in Lisle.  We had a gorgeous day and beautiful locations thanks to Rosanne (the Morton Arboretum is amazing).  These are a few of my favorite photographs from the day.  Thank you Rosanne and Andrew for including me in your wonderful wedding day and for being such a pleasure to work with!

Hi everyone!  It’s been way too long since I’ve posted anything, we’ve gotten away from blogging a bit, but there are just so many wonderful things happening with Steven F. Fox Photography that I had to post a quick update. 

First of all we are in the process of moving our studio to the Scrapyard Lofts in downtown Holland.  We are so excited to be moving into this great building in such a perfect location.  The only downside right now is that we are in studio limbo until mid-February.  So, be watching, we’ll be having a fantastic studio party once we’re up and running to show off.

Second we are in the process of revamping all of our marketing materials, including our blog and our website.  Be sure to check our new site at the end of January to see our new layout, new photographs and the new blog.  We have our new wedding brochures available now (they look amazing) and will have new brochures for Family Portraits and Senior Portraits soon.

Next we’ve just had a wedding featured in the Indiana based magazine, Wedding Day.  To see the story online go to Wedding Day Online, Erin and David.  Then in the new issue of Brides Michigan we will also have a feature wedding – this will be on shelves in February.

Plus we have two great wedding/bridal shows coming up.  The first is Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.  As  members of the West Michigan Wedding Association we are excited to promote this great show.  The next bridal show we are doing is at Laketown Golf and Conference Center in Saugatuck on Saturday, January 31st from 12:00pm – 4:00m.  This is a beautiful show with vendors local to the lakeshore area.

Finally we are looking forward to another busy year.  Our five year anniversary is on February 14th and we’ll have fun celebrating that (I’m planning a fun weekend around town for us).  Then Steve and I will be travelling to Zambia with our church in April with the organization World Hope.  We are praying now for funds to come in (the cost is over $3000 per person) and the perfect childcare situation for Jonah and Zachary.  On top of that our 2009 wedding season is booking up fast so that’s a huge blessing.

Tuesday, December 2^nd we are offering mini-sessions all day long!  These mini-sessions will be in studio and cost $20 for up to 30 minutes with unlimited poses and changes.  These sessions are perfect for infants and children and can easily be used for family portraits as well.  We have some great print packages that can only be purchased the day of the session.  Another great thing about mini-sessions is that when you order $300 or more in prints we will give you a CD of your session images and printing rights.

We had a great time working with Sarah and Blake.  Steve met Sarah at a bridal showcase nearly three years ago and did some photographs of her modeling one of the fashion show dresses.  Sarah told Steve she was going to hire him when she got married and she did! 

We had fabulous weather for the time of year and were able to spend some time photographing in downtown Birmingham.  We even stopped at the Greek Boys Coney Island and got some photographs of Sarah and Blake sharing a root beer float, thanks Tom! 

We ended the night at Farina’s Banquet Center.  Beautiful decoration and great food!  All of the details were perfect.  Sarah and Blake, thanks for letting us be a part of your wedding day.

Robyn and Jason had an amazing October day for their wedding at Harderwyk Ministires and then a beautiful reception at Macatawa Legends.  We have known Robyn and Jason for several years and were excited to be a part of their wedding day.  After being fortunate enough to photograph their engagement session in Mexico last January we knew it was going to be a fun day.

After going out for a crazy golf cart ride to do some photographs on the bridge and under the trees Robyn and Jason had a grand entrance to “Go Cubs Go” at the reception complete with streamers on the dance floor.

I had the honor of photographing Tonya and Dan’s wedding this weekend with my friend Tracy.  Tonya and Dan got married at Kruse Park in Muskegon on the beach with their reception at the Muskegon Country Club.  We were fortunate to have an amazing day in late September.  We were able to do photographs on the beach, at the Country Club and downtown Muskegon. 

Thank you Tracy for your great ideas and help all day long and thank you so much Tonya and Dan for sharing your wedding day with us.  We wish you both all the best!

We met Rachel just over a year ago, right around the time that September’s Bride opened it’s doors and began doing a fantastic job of serving brides in Holland.  After talking with Rachel at bridal shows and at the store we were so excited to hear that she was hoping to get married soon.  When Mauricio proposed to her (it was a great surprise) Rachel’s family was on hand to celebrate.  Needless to say, we were super excited that they chose us to photograph their wedding day.

The ceremony and reception were held at one of our favorite local venues – Windmill Island.  The weather was a bit iffy but we managed to get all of the photographs done before the ceremony and the weather held the rest of the evening.  The decorations were so creative and unique and with all of the beautiful landscaping at the Island it was a perfect backdrop for Rachel and Mauricio’s day. 

Some of the highlights of the day were Mauricio’s family coming from Mexico for the wedding and his brother as best man and Rachel surprising Mauricio by singing to him before their vows.

Rachel and Mauricio, we hope that you both enjoyed every moment of your wedding day, from getting ready at September’s Bride to riding the carousel at Windmill Island to your last goodbyes.  We wish you a blessed marriage.
