  • Amanda and Kyle’s Engagement Session

We had a great evening with Amanda and Kyle.  Amanda is much more accustomed to being BEHIND the camera so she was pretty giggly and she told us that Kyle does not like to be the center of attention.  We laughed and told them both to get ready because that’s what your wedding day is all about!  We are really looking forward to their wedding this August.  Thanks guys!

  • Rachel and Mauricio

    Rachel and Mauricio

We met Rachel for the first time last winter when she modeled a beautiful dress from September’s Bride for us in the snow.  It wasn’t long after that that Mauricio proposed to Rachel in September’s Bride while her family waited to congratulated them at JP’s.  We were so excited when Rachel and Mauricio chose us to photograph their wedding.  They are a beautiful couple inside and out and we are looking forward to spending their wedding day with them documenting each special moment.

  • We loved working with Laura and Tony and all of their family
and friends.  It was a gorgeous day and
we had beautiful locations.  The girls
started the day at Innovations Salon in downtown Holland while the guys played some golf at Winding Creek.  Then we all headed over to Second Reformed in
Zeeland to have some lunch, finish getting ready and
take ton of photographs.  Picket Fence Floral delivered and arranged gorgeous bouquets and arrangements.

As Laura walked down the aisle we watched Tony’s eyes well
up.  I’m pretty sure he whispered, “You
look beautiful.”  It was a wonderful
    moment.

After the ceremony we took the bridal party to Centennial
Park and had some fun.  Then we went to the lovely Alpen Rose for the
reception.  This was our first reception
there and the food and everything was amazing!
What a great evening.  Laura and
Tony, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day.

Can you tell the guys were having fun!?

    And Laura, wow!  Absolutely stunning!

  • Steve and I have known Holli and Jason for two years now and we count
ourselves blessed beyond belief to have their friendship and to be
photographing their wedding in August.  We met Holli through her family
when we were talking with them about photographing her sisters wedding
and hired her to so some design work for us.  We really clicked and
Holli invited us to visit her church at the time Engedi which has
become our church home.  We continued to get to know Holli and got to
know Jason as well.  In fact, they babysat for us a lot last year!  We
are thrilled that Holli and Jason are getting married and can’t wait to
spend that day with them and their families.

    We decided to go
downtown Grand Rapids to do photographs, something a little different.
We haven’t seen much of them lately so we invited them to go to San
Chez with us for dinner before we began.  Holli cracked us all up
telling us, “I told Jason we were going to go to Saan Shay and that I
was pretty sure it was a Mexican restaurant.”  So not only did she
pronounce it wrong and with a French accent she thought it was a
Mexican restaurant.  Oh boy, did we pick on her about that one.  Enough
about that though, here are the photographs!

  • Kristin and Graham’s Engagement Session

It didn’t take Steve and I long to figure out that we were going to have a great time with Kristin and Graham.  We started at a park in Holland and then went out to the State Park to finish their session.  The beach was a bit chilly when we got there but that didn’t phase them at all and by the time we left the wind had changed directions and it had actually warmed up a lot.  Thanks guys for being so much fun to work with!

  • Nicole and Scott ~ Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Steve and I had such a great time working with Nicole and Scott.  I worked with Nicole two years ago before I  became a stay-at-home mom/full time photographer.  I was so honored that she and Scott chose to have Steve and I spend their wedding day with them.

We started early (8am) at Nicole’s grandmother’s house in Grand Haven and I got to hang out with the girls while they read Cosmo, watched “The Runaway Bride” and had fun getting ready for the wedding.  The rest of the day was just as much fun.

We were joking about how it is impossible to put on mascara without your mouth hanging open!

These three lovely young women were the flower girls/jr. bridesmaids.  The two girls on the left are sisters and Scott’s mothers Goddaughters.  The other girl was a very close family friend who Nicole and Scott wanted to include in their day – very sweet!

Having some fun in the limo – I actually remember some of the rhymes from when I was that age.  Whew!

Nicole and Scott released butterflies after the ceremony.  It was so much fun watching them either fly away or land on guests!  Scott actually held one for a while and some of the other guests did as well.

The girls were done with posed pictures and wanted to have some fun.  There are several more of these that are equally amusing!

  • Ali and Adam’s Engagement Session

Steve and I met Ali and Adam through our dear friends Holli and Jason and are just thrilled that they chose us to photograph their engagement pictures and their wedding in August.  We met Ali and Adam downtown Holland and had a great time walking around and getting to know them.  Ali is quick to laugh and they really made it a fun evening.  We ended at the beach at sunset.  What a gorgeous night and a beautiful couple!
