Steve and I had the great honor of photographing Lisa and Charlie's
wedding. It was one of the rare days that is hard to describe but when
the pastors were talking about Lisa and Charlie and their relationship
and when they shared their own personal feelings it was incredibly
moving. The ceremony took place on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan
and the reception was on site as well. It was an amazing location and
the decorations were perfect. Thank you both so much for reminding us
why we love weddings and why we love being able to capture each moment
of the weddings we are able to be a part of. To see more photos from
Lisa and Charlie's wedding please visit Steve's blog.

Angela and Adam's Wedding - July 5th, 2008
I had the great pleasure to travel to Missouri this last weekend to photograph Angela and Adam's wedding. The weather and the location was gorgeous and so were Angela and Adam. Even when their DJ did a no show they kept up their great attitudes and had fun regardless. I had such a hard time deciding which photographs to post there were so many I loved of Angela and Adam.

Joanne and Travis’ Wedding - June 21st, 2008
We had a fantastic day photographing Joanne and Travis’ beach wedding in South Haven. The weather was questionable all morning and when the rain began to pour down before noon we talked back-up plan with the hope that things would clear up and Joanne and Travis would get the beach wedding they dreamed about.
By 1:30pm the skies were clearing and while the girls finished getting ready the weather continued to clear. After a transportation issue, Steve transported many of the guys and coolers to the beach and Jessica hopped the bus with the girls (the bus looked as if it could die at any moment and the girls all prayed they’d make it to the beach). Everyone arrived at the beach as planned.
Joanne made the long walk across the beach with her father while Travis and their guests watched. It was so beautiful and as soon as Joanne’s father handed her over to Travis, she fell into his arms. After the ceremony we headed over to the reception for a wonderful dinner and even better desserts. It was beautifully decorated and the cupcakes matched perfectly.
Thank you so much Joanne and Travis - we loved working with you and spending your wedding day with you.
(And just for you Joanne, yours was our most favoritest wedding ever!)

Nicole and Shaun's Engagement Session
Nicole and Shaun shared the story of how they got together with us on the drive to Saugatuck and it was so obvious that these two are crazy about each other. Nicole works at a local bank and she and Shaun told us how he would find excuses to go into the bank over and over again (even though it was usually to get cash and he does have an ATM card). Finally he got up the nerve to ask her out and here we are photographing their engagement session! We walked around downtown Saugatuck and then headed out towards Oval Beach. Shaun shared with us that his grandfather used to take him and the other grandkids to Mount Baldy and how special that was. We did a few photos at the foot of the very large, very steep staircase. Then we ended the night at the beach with a beautiful sunset. We had such a fun time and we hope you guys did too! We are really looking forward to working with you again soon. Now we just have to wait until November! To see more from Nicole and Shaun's session go to Steve's site.

Alysha and Brian's Wedding ~ Saturday, June 14th, 2008
My good friend Tracy came down from Traverse City to photograph Alysha and Brian's wedding with me. We had a great day. We got to the beautiful Eagle Eye Golf Course and didn't have much time for photographs so we asked Alysha and Brian to come outside with us at sunset and got some beautiful photographs of the two of them. We got some cute photos of the flower girl and ring bearer too.
Funny story...Tracy infomed me about halfway through dinner that I had a tear in my skirt. Of course since she didn't make a big deal of it I assumed it was a tiny hole and didn't worry about it. Upon inspection however it was a pretty large tear right on the behind. Yup. Fortunatly my skirt was pretty loose and it didn't really show. So as we are leaving I get in the car and hear the RRRRRRRRIP! Thank goodness it was after the reception. Then we stop to get gas on the way home. I had turned the skirt so the tear was on the side and when we got back in the car I hear another RRRRRRRRRIP. So now I've got two huge wholes in my skirt and to top things off, Tracy's car won't start! Fortunatly we are only about a mile from home. Steve had to come rescue us. Thus ended our crazy night! Alysha and Brian - I hope you guys had a GREAT night!

Heather and Derik's wonderful wedding Windmill Island Holland Mi
We had the best time working with Heather and Derik and the most beautiful day (other than the rain that threatened all afternoon). Derik's sister did Heather's makeup and it was fantastic! Then we did a mini-bridal session at the hotel and got some amazing images. Next we took Heather out to the Holland State Park to see Derik for the first time on their wedding day. (Be sure to check out our "Bridezilla shot below on Steve's Blog.) We had so much fun playing around and getting great photographs of the two of them. The ceremony and reception took place at Windmill Island in downtown Holland. The gazebo and ceremony site were perfectly decorated. Via Maria catered and as always it was absolutely fabulous. We both went back for seconds! Heather and Derik ended the night with lots of dancing and a quick sneak out to do some final photographs at sunset. Thanks so much guys for the best day!

I had two weddings on the East side of the state this weekend and had the pleasure of working with Holly and Bryce on Friday afternoon. I met up with the girls at Holly's house where we did photographs in her parent's front lawn. Then we went into Rochester and got some urban photographs. All of this was followed by a beautiful ceremony and a fabulous reception at Petruzello's. Thanks so much Holly and Bryce - it was a wonderful day!

Tonya and Dan's Engagement Session in Grand Haven
I was looking forward to photographing Tonya and Dan's wedding in September on the beach but after this session I can't wait to work with them again. We met in downtown Grand Haven and spend the evening walking around town and ended at the beach. Just as we were getting to the beach the dark clouds rolled in. We managed to get some great shots before it really started sprinkling and we made a dash back to the van.
