Steve and I were so excited to work with Tami and Jason. I hope they don't mind me sharing a bit of their story but I think it adds depth to the occasion and some of the photographs we were able to get for them. Jason and Tami booked me to photograph their wedding on September 6th and I was looking forward to their fall wedding, especially because they had planned on using the pedestrian bridge in Grand Rapids for their ceremony site and I knew it would be fabulous. I got an email from Jason at the end of January asking if I had availability at all in late March or early April. They had just found out that his father had terminal cancer and they were looking at moving the wedding up to make sure he would be able to attend. Thankfully I did have a few weekends open around the time they were looking at and they chose March 29th.
We had an amazing day with gorgeous light everywhere and were so blessed to be a part of Tami and Jason's wedding day. There were a few hard moments. After the ceremony I had to step back and pull back the tears as I watched Tami's father embrace Jason and then shake his fathers hand.
Not only were Tami and Jason a beautiful couple but they were also a pleasure to work with. We wish them and their families the best. Here are some photographs from yesterday.
