Hope your holidays were great.  I should have some pictures to post later today or tomorrow.

I managed to fall down some stairs and fractured my left ankle so it's been a bit trying.  We had a great day yesterday with my family though and we'll be off to see Steve's family on Thursday.  I can't do a whole lot but I suppose laying around isn't all bad.  I can still feed the boys and help if someone brings me everything. 

We're off to Chicago on Monday so hopefully I'll have some fun pictures to post.  Not sure how that will work with the crutches and all but I guess we'll see! 

Steve and I had the pleasure of photographing the Aulick family in their home today.  We had a great time and it looks like they did too!

This has been a wonderful year.  God has truly blessed Steve and I in family and business.  I'm getting ready to post my favorite pictures from this year but haven't had time to put it together yet.  Hopefully I can get that done later today or early tomorrow.  My mom is here helping me out so I'm getting lots done today and spending the day with her tomorrow.  I'm really looking forward to it.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 

Alysha and Brian came over last night to do a quick engagement session.  Steve and I had a good time getting to know them.  They are getting married on June 14th of 2008.  I am excited to be working with them and looking forward to doing some outdoor shots in the spring as well as their wedding. 

Our church (Engedi) hosted the HBO movie "Yesterday" and the bands Jamin Dunn and AG Silver tonight to raise awareness about the growing AIDS crisis and raise funds to build a well through World Hope.  The most staggering number that I heard tonight is that by 2010 there will be over 20 million orphans in Africa. 

This breaks my heart and leaves me wondering, what can I do, how much can I do, am I prepared to do whatever God asks of me?  Prepare my heart Lord...

Well, Steve and my children are away for the weekend so it's just me here.  I have a list of many things I want to get done and am praying that I will be motivated enough to get through at least some of them.  Tomorrow I am photographing Engedi Church and World Hope's World AIDS Day events at the Park Theatre in Holland.  It's going to be a long and blessed day.  We are hoping to raise enough funds for World Hope to build a well in Zambia.  I will  be posting some pictures Sunday.

My church used this picture on their website for serving and another shot I took under the e/kids section.  It's nice to have a gift that can be used in this way.

We are so honored to be featured in the premier edition of Shore Bride.  Steve did all of the photographs on our feature page and we are thrilled with the quality of this publication.  Maybe one of our shots will be on the cover next time! 

I love being a photographer but sometimes it has a drawback - wanting every picture I take to be perfect.  Now that is a benefit when shooting for any client but when I'm just hanging out with family I wish I could be a little more laid back about photographing our personal moments.  I'm just going to have to deal with that and get great, fun family pictures to share with everyone.

I'm itching to do some baby and kids pictures since I won't be shooting any weddings now until early January.  We are offering some great family portrait specials so hopefully we'll have some more shoots lined up in the next few weeks.  We got our new Rangefinder magazine and there are some very inspiring portraits in it.
